Jerry Leland Gibson, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at IU West surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born in Riley, IN on May 6, 1937, the son of Claude and Elsie Gibson. Jerry attended Gerstmeyer High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Emma Kay White on Dec 28, 1958. Jerry retired from RSR after 35 years of truck driving.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, attending auctions and working in his garage.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Gibson; son, Jerry Gibson Jr.; daughter, Julie Garrison; grandchildren, Jared (Valerie) Garrison, Sami (Aaron) Smith, Elizabeth (Kyle) Chasteen, Caitlyn Gibson, Megan Langdon (James), Paige Cullison (Derek) Kristen Cassida; great grandchildren, Jessica and Christian Garrison, Connor and Daxton Smith, Colton Chasteen, Coleton Supurrier, Logan Cullison and Everliegh Mcglaughlin. 3 brothers, Bernie, Francis, and Doug Gibson and 2 sisters, Karen Conley and Janet Neuenschwander,
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Barbara Rowley and Margaret Gibson and great-grandson, Taner Morgan Smith
A Memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Jan 13, 2018 at Soul Harvest Church, Cloverdale IN.
